Lasagna Roll Ups Recipe No Ricotta. I've made this quite a few times now and always add chopped fresh basil, 1/2 (10 oz.) box thawed frozen spinach for more green/health factor, dash of nutmeg to ricotta. Great starter recipe, but needed more 'bang' in flavor.
I've made this quite a few times now and always add chopped fresh basil, 1/2 (10 oz.) box thawed frozen spinach for more green/health factor, dash of nutmeg to ricotta. To assemble, spoon a little sauce into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan or smaller disposable foil loaf pans. Prepare cheese mixture (i do this while pasta is cooking) by stirring together ricotta cheese, egg, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper with a fork in a large mixing bowl until well combine.
Salt, marinara sauce, lasagna noodles, pepper, ricotta cheese and 4 more.
Spread ricotta mixture onto one side of each lasagna noodle. They're fantastic to freeze for later, too! These vegetarian lasagna roll ups are combine zucchini with ricotta and parmesan cheeses and marinara sauce. Ricotta mixture onto each noodle;
